Pros

Like many of the reviewers, I agree that they provide great snacks and healthy lunches.

Cons

Customers do not enjoy doing business with CoStar. Turnover is extremely high in sales department. Churn and burn mentality. Sales leadership is weak at best. Sales reps are pitted against each other and prospecting in other reps territories is encouraged.

CoStar Group Response
10y
We care deeply about our employees, and that is why we not only provide good snacks, but a market-leading benefits package and a growing number of professional development opportunities for each employee to work toward their own personal career goals here at CoStar Group. Our territory representatives in Inside Sales are able to sell to customers throughout the country, regardless of territory or region, to be able to take advantage of the multitude of potential customers in different markets. While we have field sales representatives who sell only in their markets, they know and understand the practices of Inside Sales and take that into account while managing their books of business. Sales has focused in recent months on collaboration, though any sales department is going to have a measure of competition between colleagues. So far we have found the collaboration between team members on a single deal will yield better results, and essentially serve as a win for everyone involved. We’re receiving great feedback on the collaboration from both employees and clients, and intend to encourage collaboration and more teamwork going forward.

Pros

I worked for Homes.com - Great first job out of college to learn a lot about sales and can make good money in the first 3 months - FIND PEOPLE THAT HAVE DONE THIS JOB AND HAVE LEFT AND FIGURE OUT WHY CUZ THEY'LL TELL YOU

Cons

I worked for Homes.com - You're doing 3 jobs in one and the pay does not reflect that - it is churn and burn. The average tenure here is 7 months - Management doesn't know what's going on 3/4 of the time. It is all up to the CEO and he's on his private jet more than 3/4 of the time
