First off, I'd like to state that I was not part of the most recent layoffs. Many of these negative reviews are due to layoffs, which tend to happen. However, it looks like the C-Suite provided empty promises to it's employees and let them down once again. At Cobalt, there is no team building or culture. My experience is you get in and do you work. Broken Promises. Role description I was hired for was not fully met - there were specializations sold to me as part of the role that I was not provided equipment for and did not get to work on. There are no mentors at the company to help guide and improve your work experience. Instead, they actively look for you to fail. Career advancement comes when someone leaves, not due to performance. The C-Suite does not have a deep understanding of the security industry. Just because you have your CISSP does not make your an expert. The C-Suite is solely focused on padding their pockets and not out to truly improve the security industry with Cobalt's product. Originally, I was excited to work at Cobalt. Seemed like a fun and inclusive company, driven by smart and ambitious people. Over time though, my experience was filled with stress, negative interactions with co-workers, and a vision that Cobalt is not the Security company it totes itself to be.
