There is a growing cognitive dissonance among employees. Everytime to CEO speaks to the organization, there’s a thinly veiled message about our profits increasing by “expanding access to high school education,” when in reality we are simply playing into the fact that certain demographics are put at disadvantage because our tests are not easy. It is hard to feel like we are a non-profit org that cares about people when the people at the top only care about profits.
This is all to say that employee morale is falling and it’s falling fast.
The lack of upward momentum is a known problem and it only grows more noticeable as the years go on.
