- Pseudo startup environment(s) with highly distributed, but isolated teams, stakeholders, & information, often with duplicate and/or competing goals and objectives.
- Growth potential is often unrealized because of competing job security incentives, poor resource planning/utilization, and lack of maturity in leadership in the engineering organizations.
- Boring work + red tape + lack of project management and maturity/direction leads to turnover and burnout.
- Career development track emphasizes selling over actual contributions and development. Very little accountability.
- Talent leaves after wading through backwaters.
- Culture bias.
- Would not advise as a place to learn best practices, though they are improving, I think.
