Great Opportunity for Flexibility and to Make a Difference - Associate Director of Admissions CollegeAdvisor.com Employee Review

Pros

Great flexibility for scheduling, as working with teens and their families. Provides an opportunity for you to build on prior experience coaching students through the admissions process. Awesome support system with team leads/management: You should never feel like can't solve a problem. Really cares about feedback from both team members and clientele - always looking to be better and one can see how positive changes are made based on feedback.

Cons

Very seasonal in nature - which is to be expected because of the nature of the work, not the fault of the company. If you are looking for a consistent flow of income, it's important to be aware that there will be highs and lows for productivity.

Pros

Working freelance with CollegeAdvisor.com has been one of the most rewarding roles I've had outside of my full-time job. My passion for advising high school students through the college application process is truly fulfilling, especially when helping them navigate such an important milestone for the first time. As an Admissions Officer at CollegeAdvisor.com, I have access to an abundance of resources and collaborate with a team of experienced professionals, each bringing a unique perspective. This collective expertise enables us to offer the highest level of support to our students. We provide personalized, insightful advice that helps them succeed in their college applications. If I had a son or daughter applying to college, I wouldn't hesitate to turn to CollegeAdvisor.com. With the depth of experience and resources at our disposal, I know they would be in excellent hands every step of the way.

Cons

I honestly can't think of any major drawbacks, aside from the fact that some students are more challenging than others, which is completely expected. Each student progresses at their own pace, and it may take more time for some to fully develop their skills and confidence. However, this is all part of the process, and it's rewarding to see them grow over time.
