Worked for CBL as a Project Manager for 10 months. The working conditions were "flexible", which means you are expected to work 24/7. I had to work 7 days most weeks. When there is a large project, you are required to handle everything by yourself. There were many days where I had to work between 15 to 20 hours. Of course, not many people agree to work in these conditions, so they employ people living in the developing countries who are financially desperate to take the job. They have the fastest employee turnover that I've ever seen in a company. It's not uncommon for a person to quit or to get fired after working only for a couple of days at CBL. After 10 months of my work, they also decided to fire me with a simple email, quoting various claims of how I failed to do my job. I replied and addressed each of those claims, most of which were not even true. I provided screenshots and emails as evidence but they did not respond. Finally, and the worst part of it all, they did not pay my last month's salary. When I started working with them, their agreement did not specify anything about paid/unpaid leave of absence. I heard from other PMs that they would let you take 12 days of paid leave per year. I had taken a few days off in February and July and I asked them specifically if those were paid or unpaid leaves at the end of each month so that I could send the correct amounts in my invoice. They said those would be paid leaves and I should send my invoice for the full amount at the end of each corresponding month. However, when they decided to let me go in August, they said those were actually unpaid leaves because I had not finished my first year at the company, and that they were "being generous". They said they would deduct that money from my August salary. I did not accept, telling them that those were already discussed and agreed upon in their respective months and that they could not affect my August salary. Even though I did not accept this treatment and did not send them an invoice for August yet, they transferred me a ridiculous amount of money for 9 days of work despite the fact that I had worked 25 days in my last month. They have not replied to any of my emails since. After a bit of inquiry, I found out that they did the same thing to some of their former employees. If this isn't the definition of deceiving and unprofessionalism, I don't know what is. There are way too many other details about how they conduct their business and I don't even want to start listing them here one by one. They have no real company policy and everything depends on the moods of one person.
