Pros
It was a job. I liked my managers and the co-workers were also very friendly.
Cons
Oh boy - where to begin? You get up at 5:00 A.M. and drive a Red Bull van around town 50+ hours /week for a measly $34,000/year. This is not a true sales job as you do not negotiate price, terms, contracts, etc. - you are basically just taking orders on how many cases stores need to fill their shelves and have enough back stock to get them through until you come again. Also, you will spend a decent amount of time breaking down boxes and filling shelves with Red Bull, as apparently that's your job to do as well - oh, and if any of the skews don't sell (because no one buys some of their products) you have to rotate them out or pay for the cans yourself! The whole thing is just a bad deal aside from, as I have said, it's a job. Most people want to be beer reps as their is much more money in that role, or work for the direct side of the alcohol industry. This is a very rough stepping stone.
