Pros
Columbia Insurance Group is a decent place to work. They have a long history, and as far as a "Stable," you shouldn't expect to see them go anywhere. The company will regularly provide lunch or breakfast to employees, which is a nice perk.
Cons
Over my tenure here, I have seen many employees passed up on advancement opportunities to hire external employees instead. CIG says that they prefer to promote over hiring outside. However, that is not what I have noticed with all the turnover we have been having. They struggle to keep employees in specific departments to the extent that they have to outsource typical web development to other companies.
