Pros

Work from home, for now... Work not going anywhere. Might be recession proof? Probably not though. Learning and experience to be had.

Cons

Experienced engineers paid 30% less than peers in the industry. Why? Because they can. Management is a revolving door, less and less experience. Engineering is a revolving door, less and less experience. Good people leave because the PAY SUCKS. Nothing will change until Illinois has rolling brownouts. Otherwise, the people upstairs could give less of a ....

Innovation and constant learning environment. Managers are understanding of heavy workload and try there best to support.

Pros

Stable work and lots of areas to make an impact. They are always trying to hire their contractors. If you are looking for a stable career, energy is the way to go. The pay is mid but solid.

Cons

Heavy work load, early start times, and company is trying to regress from the hybrid model to a full in person. The pay is mid but solid.
