Many people genuinely care about the work they are doing to provide assistance to people.
Cons
Salaries are below market; raises are tiny (1 to 3%); bonus distribution is very unfair---some departments get bonuses every year and others either aren't eligible or the goals for bonuses are unrealistic. Most everyone is afraid of the CEO.
