Great coworkers, terrible pay and benefits, no upward mobility, and bad management - Anonymous employee Common Ground Research Networks Employee Review

Pros

Your coworkers are awesome! Seriously, great people.

Cons

There is no upward mobility and you have to start off part-time and then prove that you deserve full-time. Even if you have years of experience you have to work to prove that you can work more. There are no raises and the benefits are really bad. PTO for staff gets cut every single year but the management spends weeks away on vacation. Also, everyone keeps having more and more work piled on them as people quit but you never receive compensation.

This review is filled with inaccuracies. Each employee does not have to start part-time and "prove that you deserve full-time". Part-time employees are hired if the position does not require 40 hours per week to complete the tasks. Another misconception is that travelling to the conferences (that CGRN hosts and runs) involves vacation. PTO has not been cut in the past two years. Benefits have also not been cut in the last two years, and all employees are offered health insurance, dental, vision, LTD, and 401K.

Pros

I love working here, it is a very friendly and supportive atmosphere. It is a small company, so I feel that my work is valued and important to the success of the company. Good benefits and my schedule is very flexible. As long as I am doing my job to the best of my abilities, my boss does not feel the need to micromanage.

Cons

No major cons that I could think of. I have been with the company for a few months now and always love coming to work.
