Many of the lower level employees were great to work with. Truly some awesome, very underappreciated people.
Cons
Management is horrible. Rather than following any processes or procedures, the mortgage department seems to run solely on feelings and unknowledgeable opinions. The fact that within my first few weeks on the job, I was having to explain federal laws and regulations to management (after consistently being asked to do illicit activities and having to all but make a PowerPoint about why they were illegal) was a major red flag. I am extremely disappointed I turned down other great opportunities for this job. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere. Until the company gets a clue that management is the issue, the mortgage department is going to continue to be a disaster.
