Pros
Unfortunately there aren't very many good reasons to work for this company except for the benefits. The fellow drivers most of the time are good to work with and the equipment is usually in good condition.
Cons
Unfortunately the management likes to micromanage every little move that you make it even if you fall the SOP you are usually wrong because that is not what the manager wants. The manager always wants it done his way even if it's the wrong way and even if the SOP says otherwise. No matter how bad the customer is according to management they are always right and should have their posterior kissed to make them happy. You are always called in for meetings even though you have done the right way and follow the SOP to the letter. You work split shifts for the 1st 3 or 4 years until you build up enough seniority and if you do not have enough time for a break at the end of your run it's too bad. I got terminated there because I told the nonpaying customer what might happen if he gets caught by our transit police for not paying a fare. He got upset that I told him he might get $124 to get you through I let him is one free, he still got upset and called in and complained and my manager had me terminated though I had 20 years of service. So if you like to have somebody always looking over your shoulder and this is a good place to work. But if you like to use your own brains and your own judgment then definitely keep on looking for a different job.
