Transparency from the top down is not a consistent priority for management.
They actively discourage individual growth, especially if it could make you look good to other companies. They believe they have had such high turnover because people 'use' CP as a way to get certifications and experience to ultimately go elsewhere. What's ironic is that their lack of trust in personnel and hesitency to inform individuals of their worth because of that view is what actually causes high turnover. It also makes it very difficult to stay motivated.
High employee turnover, year after year after year...
Subpar benefits and salary. Sales are always great ("This is our best quarter ever!" almost every quarterly meeting) but CP can never afford to pay employees what they're worth.
Lack of diversity, and sometimes blatant racism and sexism. I myself was subject to sexual harassment from a former Director who was loved by executives. I did not report to HR, but did inform many of my coleagues of his harrassment. I was too junior and he was too senior for me to feel comfortable going to HR at a small company to report.
I was specifically told to "not challenge" management when I had new ideas or didn't understand a certain approach to client work.
I've been told my concerns about the level of trust management had in me seemed like an "ego" issue that I need to take care of. Absolutely no real consideration was taken regarding my concerns.
Management has specifically told personnel they won't hire referrals if they are friends because that can make someone too "powerful" at work. Whatever that means.
If you're not a young southern white male who went to college in GA that they can exploit and burn out, good luck.
