Pros
I genuinely feel supported at Compt. As a company it truly feels like one team working toward the best outcome together. There’s a strong sense of collaboration and people are always willing to support one another.
In my role specifically, I’m given the guidance and support I need, along with constructive feedback that helps me grow and improve. At the same time, there’s a lot of trust in the work I do, which makes a huge difference in feeling empowered and valued.
Compt is fully remote, which isn’t for everyone—but after working remotely for 9 years, I can’t imagine going back to an office. The flexibility allows me maintain a great work-life balance. We also meet in person a couple of times a year, which is a great way to connect and strengthen relationships across the team.
Like any startup, there can be ups and downs, and the environment can feel like a rollercoaster at times. That said, the support you have makes those challenges easier to navigate.
Cons
Some processes are still evolving, so you need to be comfortable with ambiguity and helping build things as you go. Being fully remote also requires strong communication and self-motivation, which may not be a fit for everyone.
