      Pros

      You will be trained as an medical assistant (back office duties) and receive different certificates.

      Cons

      When not taking xrays you are expected to also do medical assistant job duties such as: drug screens, checking in patients, drawing blood, giving TB injection, scanning chains paperwork, breath alcohol testing, hair collects, physical assessments that included vital signs, pulmonary fit test, respirator test, EKG, audiograms, different visions test)

      Pros

      The pay is higher than most employers offer for similar positions. The benefits like PTO & sick time are higher (with increased seniority).

      Cons

      No paid holidays. The culture is not as warm & "family-like" as it has been in the past. If you do not fit a specific "mold" for leadership they will not hire or promote you despite your vast knowledge & added value to the team.
