Pros
My pay was good and the benefits were good as well.
Cons
After working there for 5 months, I definitely do not recommend working there. The girl who I was replaced by warned me that things are not how I expect for it to be and to give it a few months to see for myself.....she was absolutely right. I have witnessed some remarks my colleagues made towards minorty patients that came off rude and prejudice. The workload was far too overwhelming and there were times when I was the only person working the front desk with a overcrowded lobby of patients and my boss would just stay in her office and sometimes close her office door. I could hear chatting and conversations in the back pharmacy not work related while I'm struggling to find help. The only time they would reached out to me was if I made any errors or mistakes on tasks and patient records, but not when I genuinely need assistance. There was also times where my boss would call me into her office every 2 mins while I'm in the middle of checking in a patient, throwing my work productivity off. Also a few of my coworkers were rude and would make shady remarks that comes off a bit insulting towards me but I kept my cool and just ignored it. Lastly they gave me really crappy work hours. I think they should have people rotate with closing hours. I found out that I was the only one who had a closing shift and everyone got to leave work early. There were times when I stayed an hour and a half past my actual shift and I'm a full-time student so I lose sleep having to stay up and study and I would come to work extremely tired. My boss would refuse to approve me a day off or even work half a day while my other coworkers got to take a day off here and there with no problems. I ended up having to call off. I have a family to raise myself and it was really becoming too much not being able to see my child when I get home because they're sleep when I come home and gone to school or camp when I wake up. And HR is only there for the sake of the company and not for the sake of their employees so my request asking for a transfer to a different location with better work hours for me was completely ignored, which led to me quitting. Concentra doesn't care about their employees.
