Pros

- Flexible work hours - Work from home - Work in Minecraft!

Cons

- Connected Camps really took off during the pandemic in ways that they weren't prepared to handle. Management got more and more disconnected from the counselors and any understanding of what we did. Attempts at constructive criticism were brushed off. Since I left, management's handling of things has gotten even more problematic, for example by instituting a limit for how long counselors can work there and limiting counselor growth. - Huge influx of new counselors meant much lower quality classes. People who care are overworked and people who don't get easy money, I guess. - I was developing entirely new courses and not compensated above minimum wage. I was doing work far outside my job description by working in development and training new counselors. - Although technically a non-profit, there is not much commitment to the founding values, and much more commitment to finances. Programs aimed at making learning accessible to all were continuously cut and deprioritized.
