I found the working environment extremely pressurised, with unrealistic and constantly increasing targets that often felt impossible to achieve. While I understand sales roles naturally involve targets, in my experience expectations continually changed and there was very little support from management.
Much of the feedback we received focused on what wasn’t being done well enough, rather than encouragement or recognition for the hard work being put in. Employees were not made to feel valued, and promises around progression and promotion did not reflect the reality of the role.
The overall culture had a negative impact on morale and work-life balance. Others may have had a different experience, but unfortunately mine was not a positive one.
