Pros
This company gave me incredible opportunities when it was private. Made life-long friends with members of my development team, and the manager is one of the best I've ever had.
Regardless of the cons, the company is still a very promising place to work, and even though it's not quite the family it once was, the company has been experiencing exciting growth.
Cons
Since going public, the company's culture has deteriorated. It's no longer a company that values its employees as people but as numbers that are expendable. This is the typical path when shareholders become involved. If you're looking for a small to mid-sized company with that family-oriented feel, sadly this company is no longer that.
