Pros
401(k) match, pension, and other benefits are great
Cons
Classic case of lipstick on a pig. This company markets itself as a modern company that values work-life balance, and champions employee growth which is so far from the truth. Incredibly top-heavy company that does not lead by example and are too caught up in greed to make good choices. Management is out of touch of reality and makes choices without consulting the actual employees. Company is only 140ish employees but tries to operate as a 1000 person company with all the segregation, politics and bureaucracy. It's a great place to work if you're a higher up, but terrible if you're below that level. Forget trying to work your way up, because management will sit on their hands. The disrespect they show to their individual contributors is astounding. At the time I worked there, the employee to manager ratio was insane 2:1, with many managers not even having reports. 80% of the company's salary is held by manager level or higher. Individual contributors will have to pull teeth to get a cost of living raise but higher ups will enjoy their lavish and unnecessary bonuses. On that note, the company is addicted to cutting expenses, but focus on the salaries of the laymen, forcing them to work beyond their capacity for the 'benefit of the greater good'. The company is also going through a business transformation project which is the most hilarious case of modern propaganda I've seen. Communication and visibility of the project is so restricted as management is trying to portray a false picture of the project instead of the truth. Multiple times, I was instructed to keep my mouth shut and not raise any controversies, despite one of the mission statements of the project being: "there are no titles, everyone is equal on the project". Never have I seen so many people working past capacity, dealing with excessive stress, and in some cases, poor mental health. While this place may look good on paper, and the people are nice, I will promise you that you will run into the ugly truth eventually. Stay far away.
