Immature company with a lot of growing up to do - Product Manager ConsumerAffairs Employee Review

Pros

Unlimited PTO. Fairly laid back atmosphere. Fun office space. Decent pay. There are a lot of flashy benefits that keep the office very interesting.

Cons

The management does not want any suggestions about ways to improve the company. Any suggestions about new ways to operate or new product ideas fall on deaf ears and are often viewed as dissent. The leadership is continually surrounding themselves with "yes" men and and not looking for any ideas outside of their own. The staff is mainly comprised of good "culture" fits, not necessarily the best people for the job. The motto "work hard play hard" is used a lot, but if you look at the stagnation of their product you can tell that only the "play hard" portion is taken seriously. The product itself is continually moving farther and farther away from their stated values to help consumers and more towards a lead generation company that just sells users to the highest bidder. They do not stick to any core values even though they often talk about them. They do very little to retain talent and view people that leave as "not cut out for the job."

Thank you for taking the time to write a review and provide feedback. We truly value employee feedback and suggestions. We collect this data in a variety of ways, including a monthly Happiness Survey, a semi annual Employee Opinion Surveys and reviews on Glassdoor. Your comments will be passed onto senior management and the Talent & Culture team. Again, thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. Best of luck to you.
