Pros

The bottom of totem pole employees.

Cons

This WAS a great place to work. I was once proud to wear the CE colors. After Garrick took over as CEO, the culture quickly began to decline. The company hired a company- Mykensie Group which is known for “down sizing” companies to make them a “Leaner more profitable” company. Garrick told everyone on a leader live in January that they’d be getting rid of people by pretty much any means necessary. I know of people that were terminated while on medical leave! The company threatened people- find a way to make it work and do your job (or the job of 3 or 4 people) without working overtime- or find the door. I know of someone, who went to people and culture (their joke at Human Resources) about safety issues, and told people and culture they feared they’d lose their job if they brought forth a complaint of hostile work environment and unsafe conditions- this person was terminated about two months later, AFTER receiving a great end of year evaluation. I also know, they are telling team leaders to lie, and not give their team great reviews so they can easily put them on a performance plan- and thus get rid of them. This company is a three ring circus, and that is putting it mildly. They’ve had historically low engagement scores for the past two years, but yet- their mentality is get rid of more people- do more with less! People sacrificed their family life for the company. My only hope is that someone exposes the sheer dictator type leadership this company has resulted in- and that innocent people that lost their jobs get some sort of reprieve.
