Pros

Before the current CEO took over it was a somewhat fun place to work.

Cons

The pay is a joke, managers are too scared to disagree with the CEO's insane ideas that never work. They take on too much work and make unrealistic promises to clients so it's manufactured panic 24/7. The CEO takes the word "no" as a personal insult instead of listening to why her schemes won't work.

Pros

Working for Content Lab as a freelance voice artist has been an absolute pleasure. The team is professional and supportive. The sound engineers and directors provide constructive feedback that make every job a rewarding experience. One of the standout aspects of working with Content Lab is their commitment to quality and their respect for freelancers. Payments are on-time and communication is clear, which makes my work relatively stress-free. The collaborative atmosphere made me feel valued, not just as a service provider but as a true creative partner.

Cons

The company's IT system has rough patches, with recordings getting misplaced occasionally. Management has issues with realistic planning and logistics, forcing sound engineers to work long hours and struggling to meet deadlines.

Pros

Sometimes I can afford McDonald's.

Cons

It's one of those places that goes out of their way to find ways to pay people less and makes sure you are shown what you are worth to them. You get paid per minute of runtime and they deduct openings and end credits as if we aren't getting paid pocket change already. They've shown me that they have no shame in the way they do things, and it seems like the company is closing down rather than growing. It's like the amount of time and effort it takes to do the work means nothing to anyone. And they made everyone invest in MacBooks at our own cost but we don't even get paid enough to pay rent.
