Pros

Today Convertr is a relatively small but ambitious company of friendly and supportive colleagues. Many of the staff have been here 5-10 years, which speaks for itself. There are lots of new faces enjoying themselves too. Their product is considered best-in-class by those in the know, and the goal is to gain wider adoption to broaden the client base of already impressive customers. A role here would suit anyone who thrives in startup to growth stage companies and is looking to be able to make a big and noticeable impact.

Cons

If you work best in a highly rigid corporate environment where you expect to be told what to do and how, with your only job to deliver, then this probably isn't for you. It is better suited to self-starters who are willing to get stuck in and help facilitate the change necessary to continue growing Convertr's platform and client base.

Pros

Supportive management invested in the teams Great product with huge potential WFH flexibility in the US Everyone is willing to jump in and help

Cons

We're a small but mighty team in a fast-paced industry which means things change fast and there is a lot to do. That may not be a good fit for everyone. Benefits may not be as comprehensive as large organizations but are really good for a company of our size.

Pros

The core product is good but significantly under-resourced.

Cons

Were it not for a semi-decent product, I would give this place zero stars if I could. While there was some promise and potential, the CEO lacks basic leadership abilities and spends most of her time with her employees emotionally manipulating them in order to justify the terrible decisions she's made over the years. Almost no investment has been made in the people in the company with most of them making significantly less than they should be while they're expected to work 10+ hour days in a gloomy dungeon of an office (since abandoned because the company couldn't afford the rent). "Family" culture is preached but there is no care of consideration for employees who are expected to be in the office at all times while the CEO shows up whenever she wants, frequently hungover or worse, and parks her Porsche at the front door while the rest of the employees have to slog in from parts unknown and get scolded if they're away from our desks for too long. Management aside from the CEO has been a revolving door of people brought in with a lot of promise but zero delivery. In the past two years the company has ousted it's co-founder (the CEO's ex-husband), gone through three CFOs, a whole bunch of sales leaders, and a CSO who seemingly had a hand in everything and nothing all at once. If this sounds like a rant against the CEO that's probably correct since this is such a small company and the only constant is her lying to everyone about the state of the company, the customers they have, and the abilities of the technology. If by some miracle this company makes it through the current crisis, and starts hiring again, run far and fast and don't look back.

Let me start by saying, thank you for your feedback. While negative reviews are never enjoyable, they can help us identify where we can do better. For your feedback on our CEO, you've voiced clear concerns and there was a lot for us to unpack that we have discussed in depth. While we maintain confidence in our CEO and her leadership, we also know her approach is not a fit for everyone. Your direct co-workers (in this case our CEO) can be the reason someone stays or leaves a company, and this was clearly the case. We hope you have found a new home at a company where you better align with the leadership team. For our culture and company future, we do not expect 10+ days, we upgraded our office pre-COVID to provide employees more amenities (not because of rent), and we've improved profitability and growth despite COVID. We've accomplished a lot since this review was written, and we're very excited for what is on the horizon. We hope the changes we continue to make provide new hires and existing employees a positive, enjoyable workplace that helps them grow personally and professionally.
