Pros

Colleagues on the property level Fast paced and interesting work environment

Cons

401(k) match is 50% of contributions up to 4%—modest compared to industry norms... Only 2%? That's not investing in your employees at all. PTO is essentially nonexistent with Cooper Hotels: a full year wait for 5 days, then 10 days after two years. Similar hospitality roles I've had often start with 15 days after 90 days with other companies. No sick leave, meaning illness spreads quickly and employees are expected to work while unwell. Holidays are limited—July 4th is not observed. Dental coverage is minimal: one teeth cleaning per year. Corporate visitors often engage minimally with the team, leaving staff feeling undervalued. Overall, the organization seems more focused on cost containment than employee well-being, which impacts morale and retention. Unless your last name is Cooper, do not expect to feel like a valued employee.
