Pros

the pay is good, at least for LATAM. But you can find other jobs with same money and less painful.

Cons

They don't value your personal time. They make you work until 11pm because CI CD team cannot make a deployment on working hours LOL. Management is the worst ever possible I've worked with. My PM was a lazy guy makes you create your own tasks (his work btw), auto assign to you, work on it, and then explain what you did to him. He also calls you via slack instantly every time, losing your focus. I once was asked to work late (11pm) on my birthday, which I refused. Next day, I was "scheduled" a call at 9am with only 15 minutes of notice (invitation sent 8.45am). I couldn't show because I was not aware of it. And he started complaining of being "No Show". The week after he started putting this kind of early calls at 9am, being the invite sent after work hours. Standups are too long, 1 hour, mostly monologue from the PM talking about nothing. Mostly 30% of the calls I never said a word about my work. I joined as a mobile developer, but 90% of my time was to work on a webadmin tool that was literally a mess. Had to do tons of refactors, everything was harcoded... legacy code (1 year old only). You know what I mean. I was the guy who refactored that. Unfortunately they never valued that.

Pros

Leaders truly value feedback and make an effort to implement changes when possible, which is refreshing. Managers are empowered to effectively lead their teams. Like many startups, there are some growing pains but their commitment to improvement and adaptability is clear. It’s exciting to be part of a workplace that listens to its employees and is continuously evolving. The focus is on providing excellent member care and making it a great place to work. Culture is great and nurses are appreciated. Leaders encourage work-life balance! Although it’s remote, you feel totally connected and have support from your peers if needed.

Cons

It’s a startup and it’s nursing. There is always going to be change. If you’re not flexible and adaptable, it’s probably not the place for you.
