      A Great Company Not Without Some Flaws - Solution Architect Core BTS Employee Review

      Pros

      Great support from leadership. Straight talk about the company's financials GREAT HR folks, they really have a calling for what they do! Good training and communications Clients that I'm genuinely excited to work with Of course, working remotely and unlimited PTO are tremendous benefits.

      Cons

      As with any company when economic headwinds slow things down, they had to do some layoffs. That's tough to see. I was impressed with the extent to which they engaged with our team to get us through that adjustment. I've been at other companies where this occurs and it felt cold; at Core there was as much warmth as an organization can muster given the circumstances. There's a significant lack of diversity in senior leadership, but not more so than at other companies where I've worked.

      Pros

      The benefits were decent and the flexibility was nice. Appreciate the multitude of opportunities to network and travel. Some of the folks are really awesome and helpful.

      Cons

      Absolute trash at training anyone. Expects green engineers to know 10+ years worth of stuff that Principals would find difficult. If you manage to overcome all that and still make things work, you still get fired because management has an ego and hates seeing someone self taught and a minority succeed. Was set up to fail from the moment I was begrugendly brought on to the team.
