Pros

Worked with their marketing team for the first 3 months. Since I’m an HR major they let me do the second part of my internship in that department. I learned about everything from recruiting, to compliance, to on-boarding, and ran a couple small meetings. It was a great place to build up my resume and make some contacts for when I graduate.

Cons

The office is on a side street so lunch options are extremely limited. Definitely pack food or you’ll be stuck with Mcdonalds.

Pros

The environment is great, everyone is really sweet, management is eager to help you develop the skills necessary for you to succeed. Huge emphasis on having fun and contributing to a positive atmosphere.

Cons

If you're lazy, you won't last. Being a team player, keeping an open mind, and maintaining a positive outlook are key.

Pros

The environment is great! Everyone is willing to help you improve your professional skills. Upon arrival, you are welcomed with open arms. Everyone learns your name and you become a part of the family! Employees go out for lunch together and participate in weekly team outings. There is definitely a sense of family and togetherness.

Cons

The interview process is quick. If you apply today, you’ll be working tomorrow. On your first day, you’re given a script to memorize and you spend an hour practicing your pitch. You are then are given 3 days to pick up on the skills to be a successful salesman and to learn the psychological aspects to your potential consumer. On the 4th day you are out on your own going door to door in hopes of getting a “lead”. You come to the office dressed in business professional and then stop at Walgreens prior to visiting the neighborhoods to change into different clothes and then is told to change back into business professional upon arrival to the office to debrief. The job descriptions are misleading. I was not told that this would be a “door-to-door” internship. There is no base pay, you don’t learn this until your second interview, your pay is 100% comission. So If you are not content with spending long hours (2pm-8pm) outside walking door-to-door, I do not insist on you applying.
