Pros
In order of appreciation:
1. A highly technical Director who communicates well and respects his engineers
2. Projects tend to have the right mix of ambition and realism
3. Managment strikes the right balance of supporting but not micromanaging
4. Very aggressive in hiring people who are pleasant to work with and communicate well
5. All the typical tech company perks (free coffee and booze, 4 monitors, weekly open grocery list, parties, massage, etc)
6. They're hiring at a ridiculous rate and we've had to upgrade offices three times in the last two years, so there's a nice sense of change and momentum
Cons
- It's a 24/7 uptime focused business, so there's potential for overtime or weekend calls (especially if something breaks). This is getting better with more professional processes however
