Pros
Challenging, in a sadistic way, but definitely challenging. The management changes so frequently that if you wait around long enough the processes will become the same way it was when the first management team was in place. The young and inexperienced are welcomed with open arms and given a key to the company. Great place to work if you have zero working knowledge but are a whiz with data and spreadsheets. If you have this talent and no exposure to actually running a plant then get ready for a corner office. Crosby is looking for people just like you.
Cons
This company can't keep a promise or a commitment if their life depended on it. But management changes so many times that the new manager can claim ignorance to the promises made by their successor. They reduce headcount so much that it becomes impossible to meet the customer demand. The staff that is left can barely breathe under the enormous workload. And beware, the efficiency gains are blown apart because the more efficient you get - just to try and find a way to make the working day less than 11 hours - will result in a reduction of staff. If you have a life outside of work you need to be careful. The expectation is that you work 3 or more extra hours every day and weekends or you are not committed to making things better. This is not a short-term problem this is a consistent state. Reduction in headcount is the driving force but all metrics must be met. They have gotten rid of security, in one of the highest crime areas of Tulsa in order to save a few thousand dollars a year. If you make any indication that life can't continue like this they will look to replace you. This is through performance management. There are so many jobs in Tulsa Crosby is not worth it. But if you are the type that likes to fix people and think that he only hit you once and he is sorry then this is the place for you.
