Pros

Not having to be in the office on a 9-5 schedule and ability to re-arrange visits if personal emergencies arise.

Cons

Emails and texts after business hours with expectation to reply in unreasonable time-frames. Volume prioritization of work takes a toll on employees. charting, calls, faxes overflowing into home life. Discouragement of staff members to get to know each other outside of the workplace. Promotions given to members with senority in company without opening interviews for other external/interal applicants. Staff members all treated differently by management.

Thanks for the feedback. This person is upset because they did not get promoted. I’m sorry they feel it necessary to be so negative. We don’t call our employees after hours and in fact this person would call staff after 5pm all the time and actually got written up for it. None of this could be further from the truth, as our group is very close and all care for each other. We manage standard primary care cases and with that comes charting requirements, faxes and calls with Medical Assistants. The role is very desirable because it allows for great flexibility, more than the average primary care practice. However, because there’s so much flexibility and autonomy, if a person does not have good time management and is not disciplined then charts and other tasks can get back-logged. We have implemented a “checks and balance” system to help providers not get behind. We’ve also shaved down Caseload sizes so providers have less to manage. I’m sorry this individual feels this way and I wish them the best in the future. We take feedback very seriously and will continue to work hard to refine workflow so that it can best support quality patient care while fostering work-life balance. We dearly value each employee of our group and will go the distance to ensure they have the tools they need to be highly successful.

Pros

Flexible schedule, lots of time to complete administrative tasks . Love the new Hybrid Primary Care role. The mission to serve vulnerable patients is exactly what I want to do.

Cons

If you don’t like driving that would be a negative. You’re autonomous most the time so if you need a lot of people.

Pros

I am an ARNP (full-time) at this company. I was hired last year after an interview while visiting from Georgia. I moved to Washington with my husband to take this position. I was also 20 weeks pregnant and the CEO was willing to place the position on hold for me due to fitting the job so well. So far I have truly enjoyed working with the team at Crown Health, who have been very supportive and friendly with me. Some of the pros include the following: - Family-like atmosphere - Autonomy to complete work on your own schedule at your own pace from your office at home - Other clinicians being available to discuss issues/concerns - Serving a population that would otherwise have lack of ability to receive healthcare - Good work/life balance - Good salary with growing list of benefits - CEO and clinical manager who listen to concerns and promptly address

Cons

- Driving to multiple locations each month (if you don't like driving) - Lack of daily interaction with other people face-to-face - Charting and paperwork can quickly build up if not autonomous and self-driven
