Pros
-You will learn a lot about the cannabis industry -Most of the people who work there are friendly and knowledgeable -Catered lunches are super convenient
Cons
-Toxic work environment -The lovely people who work there are all kept in line by fear of getting fired/laid off and it can be a draining environment to work in day after day after day. The rich owners are oblivious to this dread. -I'm not ready to talk about my personal full experience at this company, but the things I witnessed other employees go through here ... let's just say it is clear that this company does not have an HR dept. by design. Things I overheard during my time at the company: -One of their best employees in sales/compliance (2 years tenure) be demanded to give a rundown of his entire day, in order to determine if he was "productive" enough. If this is how a top employee is treated, you can imagine how everyone else's time is micro-managed. -The CEO questioning a female employee about how long she spends in the bathroom (remember what I said about the no HR dept. being on purpose?) -Harrison Bard and Fredrik Rading (CEO and COO) talk OPENLY in the office about how they "raised up" a past employee they FIRED because she managed to get a better job title after getting fired by them. This is the kind of delusional thinking leading this company. -The CEO is a complete coward who will give you a glowing review to your face one day and get one of his lackeys to fire you the next. Seriously, I would echo the sentiments of another poster who said that as hard as it is to need money and work, it is not worth taking a job here. You might find yourself in a worse situation than where you started. I met two of the hardest working people I've met in my entire career while working at this job and they both seem like they have Stockholm Syndrome with the way this awful company treats them and don't seem to realize they can do better. That's what this place does-- they knock down your self-esteem so that you feel you deserve what they are giving you, and then make you fearful of leaving so that they can discard you at their convenience. -The last thing I will say is that if you're interviewing here, be careful that they are not just getting free consulting from you on your industry.
