Pros
CSN is truly a mission-driven organization, and the staff and management reflect those values. Management embraces transparency and new ideas. It's a small and growing organization, which means there are lots of opportunities to help shape CSN's future. It's a great work environment! People work hard, genuinely care for each other, and help each other out. The all-remote workforce model is a big plus.
Cons
As a small, growing organization, job roles often change and may be murky at times. CSN could be a good fit if you value flexibility and the chance to help (re-)write your own job description.
The projects I worked on were funded through relatively short-term government contracts. So like a lot of non-profits, there can be uncertainty about funding at times, which I could see leading to some long-term career insecurity. That's speculative, though - management has prioritized taking care of all the staff while I've been here.
