Pros
Individual team leads are genuinely kind, knowledgeable, and supportive. Day-to-day coworkers care about their work and want to do a good job. You can learn a lot quickly if you’re early in your career and able to manage a fast pace.
Cons
While direct team leads are great, upper leadership is extremely toxic and disconnected from the realities of the work. Remote employees are not valued. There is a clear lack of opportunity for growth, as remote employees were explicitly told they were not eligible for promotions. The company prioritizes quantity over quality, which became especially clear as leadership began relying heavily on AI in ways that undermined thoughtful, strategic work. Which ultimately lead to mass layoffs. New policies were implemented which stated remote employees could not move, even within the same city, without risking termination, which felt controlling and unnecessary. Remote workers were also explicitly told not to mention being remote during company-wide town halls because leadership believed it would negatively impact office employee morale. This created a culture of silence and exclusion.
