None i really enjoyed it there

When you are on your own, you must be a survivor, as it's a "dog eat dog business world" out there! This gave me the skill of being a go getter, and I mastered excellent sales and marketing skills. I learned how to "ask for the order!" Once you have secured the job, I love putting on the next hat of educating the Client, developing the design concept to code, and then putting the project into a fast paced "go mode" and showing your talent and efficiency all the way through completion. Lastly, seeing a satisfied Client with a smile on their face, knowing you have improved their environment, boosted the morale of employees, it naturally brings motivation, which in turn will increase sales for them. A happy Client is essential for both parties, and the satisfaction of a well executed concept is wonderful because you have just layed the ground work for repeat business from them, and their endorsement of our company...which in turn generates valid and prosperous referrals. Being on my own taught me to be self sufficient and gave me the wisdom of utilizing my knowledge, integrity and sense of humor (as comedy truly sells), and this in turn has made me an excellent closer. This boosts the ego, the income and the trust of who you are working with. Oh, working in your pajamas occasionally wasn't so bad.....

Sometimes, yesI there are cons. Working alone, occasionally feeling isolated, although I extremely efficient. I do like having an assistant to delegate tasks to when I have to hit a deadline, and prepare winning presentations and finnal installations. When I have a concept created, I like to run it by a fellow designer at times. At times, I wasn't able to, although that is a con, but it has taught me to have a great level of confidence in realizing that. Freelancing also can be feast or famine, and feeling insecure of income regularity can be taxing on the mind. I also didnt have benefits.
