Pros
Honestly, the children and families we served were the best thing. We got a lot of clients from inner city communities, though I frequently found them to be the most appreciative of receiving services. Some of the fellow therapists were also very friendly and great to collaborate with.
Cons
Administrative staff was a complete mess! Some things that have occurred: getting scheduled for an 8 hour day with back to back clients without a lunch break, getting scheduled a new client without receiving any paperwork (i.e. eval, intake forms, etc), double-booking, forgetting to call clients if I called out. The worse was that if you got a cancelation (even if it was the client who had canceled or no showed) you did NOT get paid anything for that hour! Even if you showed up to work and are still technically working doing paperwork/documentation. Rumor has it that this has changed and that you get paid half (which I guess is better than nothing), but I think its still complete BS that you don't get paid in full.
