Pros
I spent 8 years at Diversity and really enjoyed my time there. The teams I worked alongside were a true team, working together to ensure our customers were supported. My various managers during the time as I progressed through the company were always on hand to help guide me and provide assistance, especially within new roles. The work was very rewarding, helping customers in very difficult times of need, and it was great being part of that. I felt as though I had contributed and Diversity helped me develop personally. One of the stand-outs for me was how we interacted with other departments and worked together as an entire team, rather than battling internally which has been common in other roles I’ve had in the past elsewhere. It was an exciting company to work for with lots of opportunities to progress and that was important for me.
Cons
Over eight years there’s always going to be the odd gripe, mine was systems but that had really come along leaps and bounds by the time I had left and the stability of systems and the commitment to improve systems and make things easier stood out. As with any organisation responding to rapidly changing world events, there were tough periods but the team culture ensured we always got through them quickly and again you felt rewarded seeing these events develop and knowing that you has been part of that.
