Cons

Working in the resale industry has been a learning experience, and my time as a store manager has given me valuable skills in luxury goods, authentication, and customer relations. The job itself wasn’t difficult—I knew how to do my work and do it well. However, the people I worked with made it an incredibly toxic and unprofessional environment. From daily bullying to inappropriate behavior and constant disrespect, I faced a workplace where my efforts were undermined rather than supported. Sexual misconduct was a recurring issue, and despite raising concerns, there was little to no accountability. The workplace culture allowed harassment and mistreatment to continue unchecked, making it an uncomfortable and, at times, hostile environment. Instead of teamwork, there was gossip, negativity, and a complete disregard for professionalism. No matter how hard I worked or how much I contributed, I was consistently disrespected and downplayed. On top of that, there was no structured training or real support. In an industry where knowledge is key, I was left to figure things out on my own while also managing a team. Customers ask tough questions about authenticity, pricing, and repairs, and rather than being set up for success, I had to seek out that knowledge myself. While I’ve gained experience in luxury resale, I can’t recommend this workplace to anyone looking for a professional and respectful environment. If you’re considering a management position here, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. No job is worth enduring daily harassment, disrespect, and a complete lack of accountability from leadership.
