Pros

The work is ok. You meet interesting people.

Cons

The company makes promises like no forced extra work days, 3 days off in a row.. etc.. They change thier mind as soon as it becomes inconvenient to keep thier word. Management lies to thier employees. They basically act as though they own you. The only thing ever really discussed at weekly meetings is sales. Technicians are now required to be technicians, salesmen, recruiters, and much more. If you want to have no personal life, this is the job for you.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective on the technician role. It is good to know that you found the day-to-day work manageable and enjoyed the opportunity to connect with interesting people while out in the field. Regarding your concerns about scheduling and the expanding expectations of the role, we understand how vital transparency and work-life balance are to a sustainable career. Our goal is to foster a culture of trust, and hearing that you felt our commitments were not upheld is concerning to us. We would value the opportunity to hear more about your specific situation and better understand your experience with leadership and meeting structures. Please feel free to reach out to peopleoperations@dish.com so we can discuss this further.

It's fantastic to hear that you feel valued through our great pay and good overall benefits package. We work hard to ensure our compensation remains competitive because we truly believe in rewarding our employees for their dedication and hard work. We recognize your point regarding the sales environment and the high pressure associated with upselling. We strive to provide all of our teams with the best training and support possible to meet business goals while still delivering excellent customer experiences. We are continuously looking for ways to refine our sales approach to make it effective yet sustainable and positive for our team members. Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective with us. We value all feedback as it helps us in our ongoing efforts to foster a positive and supportive workplace.

Pros

Work from home is the only pro I can think of

Cons

They don’t provide any equipment aside from the computer itself. They mislead you during the interview and job description. You are paid according to price of product sold and close rate however it’s all inbound calls and you can not call back. The inbound calls are lousy, people who don’t even have a $1 on a card in order to do the eligibility check, or no card at all.. poor credit which leads to higher out of pocket costs. I think only a handful of times I couldn’t overcome the spousal objection or the just shopping objection. Those I will take responsibility for but if I’m getting calls from people who don’t have a card or don’t have a $ or don’t have the money to put down OR already have an account or is a mis-transfer or were passed along because the technicians have to make referrals even though the customer isn’t actually interested in the product yet the tech makes them still call.. that’s crap and it’s not real sales.
