Pros
It's a job. It's not a career. After working 11 years at Dish Network I cannot think of a single Pro. if you can't find a job anywhere else, they will hire you if you will work cheap enough.
Cons
Dish Network is the kind of company that will lay off workers who have been with them more than a decade with absolutely no severance pay at all. they gave out no raises this year because of covid-19, they gave out young raises this year because of covid-19, even though their business is doing excellent because of covid-19. If you get an excellent to an exceptional review on your yearly, you can expect less than a 2% raise. the usual raise a Dish Network is approximately 1.3% if you have great reviews and an excellent rapport with your manager. The modus operandi of Dish Network is to fire anyone who has been there for a good length of time, and hire some kid off the street who will work cheaper. If you are offered a promotion at Dish Network, it will never come with a pay increase. They make you wait at least a year and a half to get your pay increase. When I started at Dish Network over a decade ago I was working with broadcasting professionals. Now dish employees are being hired from their call centers and being trained minimally. If you do not have a college education and are looking to get out of a dead-end job, perhaps Dish Network is a suitable choice. If you have a college education, or any experience in broadcasting, run fast. Getting laid off from Dish Network is the best thing they ever did for me. Thanks guys!
