There are so many cons that it’s hard to name a few (no wonder Dish was chosen the worst employer in the US):
-Hours: although the 4pm rule to leave the office was removed, the company now silently forces employees to put in 8.5-9hours every day, alleging that they will not be considered for a promotion otherwise. Exploitation at its finest.
- Management: horrible, incompetent managers. Promotions are based on favoritism (never mind the previous paragraph, about hours - you may work 12hrs/day but, if you’re not part of your director’s or VP’s clique, you will NOT be considered to move up. However, if they don’t like you and you work less than 45hrs/wk, they WILL use that against you).
- Lack of directions: Dish is a mess, there’s no strategy or structure. No wonder its stocks are at their lowest and the company is bleeding customers and money at a speedy rate.
- Almost no diversity at management level. Again, unless you’re one of the faves.
