Pros
Stability besides the constant downsizing last years Very strong processes and systems. This is a good place to learn how things can be done consistently across board. Sets a good example for those wanting to work in bigger companies with respect to general work practices and non-financial benefits Many very talented and qualified colleagues with a good knowledge-sharing culture. Great colleagues and sharing can make up for a lot!
Cons
Arrogant and distant management having preference for process rather than people. Across business areas it does not seem to have any effect when employees complain about bad management Low pay and management arrogance about low pay. You're expected to value other things than money if you work here because any interest in higher salary leads into very unnecessary conversations about what you really want from your career, what DNV offers and so on. Could be ok but not when they pay below the industry standard Limited tolerance for diversity. There are many employees from different backgrounds, but not in leadership positions. Also visible in the day to day work interactions and feedback/ explanations for not getting promotions etc. Treatment of GL employees' sentiments and careers during and after the buyout has been atrocious. Management sets Norway a few notches above all other locations and does not handle merger-related issues with humility befitting a buyer or majority owner
