You have to lead your own career. Don't expect anyone to do it for you. There's lots of opportunities but you need to be proactive. You can be silo'd if you're not outgoing.

Everyone I have worked with is an expert in their field willing to share their expertise with their coworkers and clients. I am constantly learning from and teaching others. There are two pathways to growth in the company, an expert track and a management track. If you are not interested in leading people, the expert track provides the same promotion possibilities while teaching you to become an expert in the industry.
