Pros
-The mission of the program is admirable and important. -Line staff are dedicated to the youth they serve. -Youth recognize effort and dedication from line staff. -Some meaningful outcomes despite inept leadership.
Cons
-Management is quick to delegate tasks well above experience level and then push responsibility for shortcomings on to ill prepared staff, while aggregating praise for succesful projects that were also delegated. -Despite stating importance of work/life balance, ability to gain meaningful time off (without constantly fielding calls, being called in to meetings, etc) is only reserved for leadership staff. -Requests for training aimed at career advancement are often met with being told to focus on current station. -Little to no follow up on requests for supervision unless you're a favored employee. - Only sticks to guidelines espoused in employee handbook when convenient.
