Pros

Over my five years at DVT I've been given all the tools and support I needed to grow as a frontend developer, and I've kept levelling up the whole way through. The company genuinely lives its "grow" purpose there's a strong learning and development culture and real investment in people through exposure, training, and honest mentorship. The culture itself is welcoming and collaborative, and I've consistently felt invested in rather than just utilized.

Cons

Growth and project opportunities can vary depending on which client account you're staffed on. Even as an experienced developer, some clients still expect you to prove yourself from scratch, which can mean re-establishing your credibility each time you move to a new account.

Pros

DVT has a very supportive and encouraging work environment where it is easy to reach out to colleagues and get help when needed. The company also provides office lunches on Wednesdays and Thursdays, which adds to the positive culture. There are good opportunities for growth and development, and employees are supported through challenges rather than being discarded for mistakes. Progress, effort, and good work are recognised and rewarded, creating a motivating workplace.

Cons

As consultants, we can sometimes feel isolated when working at client sites, as day-to-day work may be removed from the company environment. Unfortunately, the supportive internal culture does not always translate into client engagements, which can make it harder to experience the same sense of connection and support while on assignment
