Pros

There are several opportunites for bonuses. The staff are flexible--when I started working for the company I mentioned a pre-planned holiday and they gave me all the days I requestedoff. The IT service is responsive and helpful if and when any tech isssues arise. The typical shifts are three hours a day, so it is not very time-consuming. They pay well compared to similar companies. They offer to cover the cost of the TESOL certificate after 6 months of working for them.

Cons

Time zones-- the company is based in Shanghai and thus the timezone is UTC+8:00. If you're based in the U.S. the class times can be at early hours of the morning, such as 4:00 am-7:00 pm. China does not have Daylight Saving Time so the hours become even more difficult when that goes into effect in the winter. The currency is RMB and if you are not based in China and getting paid in RMB currency conversion fees are inevitable.
