Pros

Less office politics, can balance work-life easily

Cons

Family run business by frustrated owner who is obsessed with controlling everybody and everything. Not really a company in that sense, more a way for her and her family to pass time. A real career-limiting place with limited growth options, learning opportunities or exposure. People may join thinking its a global company, but the only people who stay there over two years are people who are have no option, limited education or qualifications.

It seems we have not been able to win your heart! As a public listed company on the Bombay Stock Exchange, Walchand PeopleFirst, the employer in this instance, is led by a very imminent Board, largely consisting of independent directors. The Chairperson has helped to implement Alan Mullaly’s Business Plan Review Process in the company. As such, the strategic and annual operating plan of the organisation is developed jointly by a team of cross-functional leaders. This team meets weekly to review the program on the plan and takes business decisions collectively to drive towards achieving our goals. Several of our team members tell us that this organisation offers a unique experience of a global company work opportunity blended with the family feeling of a smaller organisation, where each and every employee is personally known by name at the top level of management. Employees receive opportunities to travel, network and collaborate with the global Dale Carnegie network, providing diverse work opportunities, including representing India at annual international conventions and delivering global mandates.
