Pros

Datadog has been a breath of fresh air since day 1. Here are a few reasons why: ***Everyone has been so welcoming, eager to help, passionate about the technology and mission of driving on the rocket ship to IPO ***The technology is top notch which speaks volumes to enterprise sales specifically but also across the board for sales. The company invests 45% in R & D and is also built by engineers for engineers ***We have ambitious goals but a team equipped with high caliber talent to make it happen ***Even though everyone is working extremely hard, it is encouraged to find a work/life balance which is unique to find within tech organizations ***On that note, Datadog takes care of their employees very well - tons of snacks, catered lunches, team dinners, etc. ***Leadership celebrates their team's wins and encourages growth from within ***Access to leadership who sits in HQ is a massive upside

Cons

Can't think of anything negative in all honesty. The only adjustment for me personally is this is the largest company I've ever worked for. Sometimes it can feel overwhelming of how many people you don't know. It's just more of an opportunity to push yourself out of your comfort zone to build new relationships.

Pros

Datadog has a strong product, smart coworkers, and a fast paced environment that teaches you a lot quickly. I learned a tremendous amount about observability, technical discovery, outbound prospecting, and how modern engineering organizations operate. The company has also gives reps exposure to large accounts and technical conversations early in their careers.

Cons

The ramp for newer AEs can feel steep, especially in a hgihly competitive outbound environment. Success often depends on timing, territory, pipeline momentum, and consistent coaching. There can also be a significant pressure tied to activity metrics and pipeline generations, which may be difficult for reps still developing confidence and process consistency.
