Pros

David C Cook's global ministry does some good work in developing countries. Seems like it is easier for the CEO and executive team to love people in other countries rather than those they manage.

Cons

The CEO makes Trump look like a management genius and a humble man. Supposedly Cook is a Christian ministry, but the executive pay is way out of whack. Executives live lavish lifestyles while full time entry-level employees rely on food stamps. Entry level staff work long hours in jobs that are misclassified as "exempt" from reporting hours. So there is no overtime and no meaningful comp time. The executive team is constantly changing direction, often based on the CEO's gut instinct that everyone else in the organization thinks is wrong. CEO used slave analogy when questioned about the need to do more with less--specifically, he said I'd need to make more bricks with less straw. The environment is depressing and management philosophy is incompatible with Christianity and sound business practice

Pros

Flexibility, direct supervisor is second to none, leadership is imperfect and human but trying which is more than I can say for most employers. Benefits are exceptional, free breakfast prepared by two amazing chefs four days a week, generous holiday, vacation, and sick time. The building and the grounds are beautiful with AMAZING views of the front range. Even with the 4 days onsite and 1 day remote work week there is still flexibility within that. So many more but don't want this to be too long.

Cons

It's difficult to write out true cons because everyone, leadership included, is so well intentioned but that is where things tend to go wrong. It seems that sometimes leadership has difficulty making the hard decisions and tend to rob Peter to pay Paul. I hesitate to give examples because again, the intent is well meaning, but it seems that they may not see the flip side of the coin in those decisions and how being generous, over indulgent, inconsistent, etc. in some ways harms in others.

Pros

Good benefits, great work environment, friendly employees

Cons

Recent, unannounced layoffs have left the remaining employees questioning their future with the company. Poor communication from managers and supervisors. Key positions cut without any direction as to how to move forward.
